 i)  Material used- INDIAN NATURAL STONE-CARBON TEAK, BASALT, CERA GREY, KOTA

From generation stone has played very important role in architecture and building industry with limited use and closely pertaining to economic

status and social life. Industrialization era has opened up various options in building materials that are modular, refinished and durable products similar to natural materials without any drawbacks. But the natural material still adds to characteristics of some people suitable to today’s context.

Primary requirement was to exhibit maximum variety of stone in available area and to make people understand the different uses of stones in various part of design. Other than this old structure of building, upper floor, load distribution, limited area, cost, light and ventilation and space management were the set of challenges. To control the cost and manage the maximum variety of stone, selection of minimal (singular) material which could easily source and create a possibility for maximum display of products was concluded.
Whole project got split into the list of design elements like 1) floor 2) wall 3) ceiling 4) doors 5) windows 6) partitions 7) storage 8) lighting 9) seating 10) furniture. Every element has been thought with suitable stone as per its characteristic.

So ideologically we intended to keep the stones visual appearance lighter like origami which coined the term “STONOGAMI”.
